What DeKalb County School District is proposing for each school under Round 2 of the Student Assignment Project (March 2026), reproduced from the district's own master scenarios document. Round 1 (February 2026) is included for comparison.

School names appear with their high-school feeder cluster in parentheses, e.g. "Vanderlyn ES (Dunwoody)" means Vanderlyn Elementary in the Dunwoody High feeder pattern.

What DCSD is proposing right now (Round 2)

Grouped by what each action does to the school. Most consequential first.

Proposed for closure or repurpose 22 schools

DCSD has named these schools as candidates for closure, with the building either repurposed for another district use or sold.

Proposed to become available 4 schools

The school's program ends here, so students go elsewhere. The building stays in district hands, freed up for other use. ("Become available" is DCSD's term.)

Proposed conversion to a different school type 18 schools

The grade levels or program served on this campus change. The campus stays open.
