Proclamation Cyber Champions 2026

                 PROCLAMATION
                                  Cyber Champions Proclamation

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is committed to preparing students to be responsible, ethical, and
             informed digital citizens in an increasingly connected world; and

WHEREAS:     The Cyber Champions program empowers K–12 students to become student leaders and ambassadors
             for cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital citizenship through monthly training,
             peer-to-peer engagement, and community collaboration; and

WHEREAS:     Cyber Champions exemplify leadership by promoting safe online behavior, raising awareness of
             cybersecurity best practices, and supporting a culture of digital responsibility within their schools and
             the broader DeKalb County community; and

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District recognizes the outstanding dedication and achievements of Cyber
             Champions Heaven Dudley, senior; Mathew Scott, sophomore; and Izyan Mahama, freshman of
             Columbia High School, supported by their school facilitator Ms. Damika Davis; and Cyber Champion
             Fatomato Bagayoko, senior of Arabia Mountain High School, supported by her school facilitator Mrs.
             LaWanda Williams; and further acknowledges the leadership and vision of Dr. Shanique Worthey,
             Lead Facilitator and Manager of Security Awareness and Engagement, under the leadership of Mr.
             Eric Logan, Director of Information Security, whose collaboration and commitment established and
             continues to strengthen the Cyber Champions initiative districtwide;

THEREFORE:   Be it proclaimed that the DeKalb County School District Board of Education hereby recognizes and
             commends the Cyber Champions, their dedicated school facilitators, and district leadership for their
             exemplary service, leadership, and contributions to fostering a safer, more informed, and more
             resilient digital learning environment for all students, and celebrates their continued impact on the
             district and community.
