             Chapel Hill Elementary School Boys’ County Basketball Champions

WHEREAS:      The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
              The Chapel Hill Elementary School boys’ basketball team is committed to working hard and
              representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:      The Chapel Hill Elementary School boys’ basketball team excelled during the 2026 DeKalb County
              Elementary Basketball season; and

WHEREAS:      Under the direction of Head Coach Mark Davidson, the Chapel Hill boys’ basketball team captured the
              2026 DeKalb County Elementary Basketball boys’ championship title and the Area 3 championship;
              and

WHEREAS:      Chapel Hill defeated Austin (33-11) and Cedar Grove (18-15) to win the championship; and


THEREFORE:    We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments of
              the Chapel Hill Elementary School boys’ basketball team for having achieved one of the highest levels
              attainable by an elementary school basketball team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on
              this 11th day of May 2026.
