Recognition Tyler Bowden Miller Grove HS

      Tyler Bowden – Miller Grove High School – GHSA State Wrestling Bronze Medalist

WHEREAS:      The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
              Miller Grove wrestler Tyler Bowden is committed to working hard and representing DeKalb athletics;
              and

WHEREAS:      Miller Grove wrestler Tyler Bowden reached the GHSA Boys’ State Wrestling Championships; and

WHEREAS:      Under the direction of Head Coach Quincey Bryant, Tyler Bowden reached the Class 2A state
              semifinals at 157 and completed his state tournament by defeating Columbus’ Gavin Reedy via a
              12-1 Major Decision to win bronze in the 157-pound division at the 2026 GHSA Class 2A Traditional
              Wrestling Championships ; and

WHEREAS:      Tyler Bowden finished second at 157 at the DeKalb County Wrestling Championships and third in
              Region 5-2A,

THEREFORE:    We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
              of the Miller Grove wrestler Tyler Bowden for having achieved one of the highest levels attainable by
              a high school wrestler. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this 11th day of May 2026.
