  Stephenson High School Track Coach, Donald Sellers Sr. - Named to GTFXCA Hall of Fame

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
             Stephenson High School Track Coach Donald Sellers Sr. is committed to working hard and representing
             DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:     Stephenson Track Coach Donald Sellers Sr. was named to the 2026 class by the Georgia Track and Field
             and Cross-Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame; and

WHEREAS:     Donald Sellers Sr. has spent 40 years in DeKalb County Schools including Avondale High School,
             Redan High School and since 2000 at Stephenson High School. He has two state track championships
             (2002 and 2021), 10 DeKalb County Championships, 10 region titles and two Track Coach of the Year
             Awards; and

WHEREAS:     Donald Sellers Sr. also stressed academics which aided numerous student athletes under his tutelage
             to earn scholarships across all levels of college competition; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
             of Stephenson High School Track Coach Donald Sellers Sr. for having achieved one of the highest levels
             attainable by a high school track coach. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this 11th day
             of May 2026.
