             Indian Creek Elementary School Girls’ Basketball County Champions

WHEREAS:      The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
              The Indian Creek Elementary School Girls’ basketball team is committed to working hard and
              representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:      The Indian Creek Elementary School girls’ basketball team excelled during the 2026 DeKalb County
              Elementary Basketball season; and

WHEREAS:      Under the direction of coaches Demetrice King and Maia- Joi Headly, the Indian Creek girls’ basketball
              team captured the 2026 DeKalb County Elementary Basketball girls’ championship title and the Area 2
              championship; and

WHEREAS:      Indian Creek defeated Henderson Mill (7-3), Flat Shoals (14-6) and Peachcrest (8-4) on the way to the
              county championship; and

THEREFORE:    We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
              of the Indian Creek Elementary School girls’ basketball for having achieved one of the highest levels
              attainable by an elementary school basketball team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on
              this 11th day of May 2026.
