                   DeKalb School of the Arts - Region Literary Champions

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
             The DeKalb School of the Arts Literary team is committed to working hard and representing DeKalb
             athletics; and

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb School of the Arts Literary team won the 2026 Region 5A-D1 Championship; and

WHEREAS:     Under the direction of Coach Tawana Parker-Bellamy, the DSA squad defeated its region competition;
             and

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb School of the Arts Literary team’s win qualified the team for the state competition and
             finished as the state runner-up; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
             of the DeKalb School of the Arts literary team for having achieved one of the highest levels attainable
             by a high school literary team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this 11th day of May
             2026.
