             Champion Theme Middle School Girls Basketball County MS Champions

WHEREAS:        The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
                The Champion Theme Middle School girls’ basketball team is committed to working hard and
                representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:        The Champion Theme Middle School girls’ basketball team won the 2026 DeKalb County Middle
                School Girls’ Basketball Championships; and

WHEREAS:        Under the direction of Coach Wesley Zellars, the Chargers defeated Beacon Hill 31-26 in the girls’
                championship game; and

WHEREAS:        Champion completed the season undefeated at 16-0 in winning a county record sixth girls’ basketball
                title; and

THEREFORE:      We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
                of the Champion Theme Middle School girls’ basketball team for having achieved one of the highest
                levels attainable by a middle school basketball team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on
                this 11th day of May 2026.
