Chronology: Network Cabling, Fiber Infrastructure, and Wireless Equipment
Relocation (ICN)

Elementary School, The International Student Center, Murphey Candler Elementary School, and Park
Lake Administrative Building

The Division of Information and Instructional Technology (DIIT) identified the need for targeted network
infrastructure improvements, repairs, and reconfiguration services across multiple district facilities.
These needs were validated through coordination with district operations, facility maintenance activities,
and technology staff to ensure continued reliability, safety, and performance of instructional,
administrative, and operational systems.

Following the planning phase, DIIT worked with Integrated Communication Networks, Inc. (ICN) to
develop a comprehensive scope of services focused on maintaining and enhancing the district’s
existing network infrastructure while also supporting new and reconfigured instructional and operational
spaces. The proposed work includes structured cabling installation and repair, fiber connectivity
enhancements, telecommunications room buildouts, cable management improvements, wireless
access point and security device relocation, and associated labor services. All work is coordinated with
ongoing facility improvements and operational needs to ensure minimal disruption and continued
system functionality.

Key Services Include:

Structured Cabling Systems, Fiber Connectivity, Repairs & Testing = $367,396.07

   ●​ Ashford Park Elementary School
         ○​ Installation of Category 6A structured cabling to support administrative offices, media
            center, cafe areas, and non-classroom operational spaces
         ○​ Installation of patch panels, cabling pathways, and supporting infrastructure to align with
            district standards
   ●​ Champion Theme Middle School
         ○​ Installation of Category 6A data drops in front office and media center areas to support
            administrative and instructional operations
         ○​ Expansion of structured cabling infrastructure to improve connectivity and capacity
   ●​ Cross Keys High School
         ○​ Installation of Category 6A structured cabling across multiple building sections (D, H, J,
            L)
         ○​ Support for temporary MDF environments, new IDF buildouts, and upgrades to existing
            IDF locations
         ○​ Installation of telecommunications cabinets, ladder rack systems, fiber shelves, and
            patch panel infrastructure
         ○​ Deployment of fiber connectivity components and associated terminations to strengthen
            network backbone
         ○​ Installation of structured cabling, wireless data drops, and camera cabling to support
            portable classroom environments

          ○​ Installation of Category 6A structured cabling for administrative offices, media center,
             and shared operational spaces
          ○​ Installation of cabling pathways and patch panels to support district-standard
             connectivity

          ○​ Installation of Category 6A structured cabling to support administrative and operational
             areas
          ○​ Relocation of IDF infrastructure including associated fiber and copper cabling systems
          ○​ Installation of ladder racks, pathway supports, and associated infrastructure
   ●​ Murphey Candler Elementary School
          ○​ Installation of Category 6A structured cabling to support administrative offices, media
             center, cafe areas, and shared spaces
          ○​ Installation of patch panels and supporting infrastructure to ensure consistent network
             performance
   ●​ Park Lake Administrative Building
          ○​ Replacement and repair of existing Category 6 cabling infrastructure
          ○​ Installation of armored single-mode fiber connectivity between MDF and multiple IDF
             locations
          ○​ Installation of fiber shelves, modules, and patching infrastructure to support backbone
             connectivity
          ○​ Testing and validation of existing and newly installed cabling systems

Network Infrastructure Cleanup & Cable Management = $3,625.00

Ashford Park Elementary School
Ceiling cleanup and cable management, including dressing and supporting low-voltage cabling in
classrooms and hallways
Installation of J-hooks, supports, and pathway components to improve cable organization and safety
Idlewood Elementary School
Ceiling cleanup and cable management across instructional and hallway spaces
Installation of cable supports and pathway components to align with district standards

Wireless Access Point and Security Device Relocation = $26,705.70

   ●​ Ashford Park Elementary School
          ○​ Removal, storage, and reinstallation of wireless access points and interior cameras to
             support facility improvements
   ●​ Champion Theme Middle School
          ○​ Removal and reinstallation of wireless access points and cameras to maintain system
             functionality during renovations
   ●​ Idlewood Elementary School
          ○​ Removal and reinstallation of wireless access points and cameras, including temporary
             storage and redeployment
   ●​ The International Student Center
          ○​ Removal and reinstallation of wireless access points and interior cameras to support
             facility reconfiguration
   ●​ Cross Keys High School
         ○​ Installation and activation support for wireless access points within portable classroom
            environments
         ○​ Support for wireless connectivity to ensure consistent instructional access across
            temporary spaces
   ●​ Park Lake Administrative Building
         ○​ Installation and configuration of wireless access points and supporting infrastructure to
            maintain administrative connectivity

Labor = $74,547.01

   ●​ Installation, repair, and configuration of structured cabling and fiber infrastructure across all
      locations
   ●​ Termination, testing, certification, and validation of copper and fiber systems
   ●​ Removal and reinstallation of wireless access points and security devices
   ●​ Cable management, pathway installation, and infrastructure cleanup activities
   ●​ Coordination with district operations, facility teams, and project stakeholders to ensure
      alignment with timelines and district standards

Contingency = $70,841.07

A contingency amount of 15% above quoted costs is included to address unforeseen conditions
associated with renovation, repair, and infrastructure modification activities and to ensure timely
completion of all work.

Procurement:
Pursuant to Board of Education Purchasing Policy DJE III.C.3., purchases or contracts with a total
estimated cost of $100,000.00 or more shall be awarded through a written competitive sealed bid
process to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, or through a competitive request for proposal
process where the offer deemed to be the most advantageous to the District may be selected.
Integrated Communication Networks, Inc. (ICN) was awarded through RFP 26-703 for District-Wide
Cabling Equipment and Services. This procurement will be executed in accordance with applicable
district purchasing policies and established contracting vehicles
