. FINANCING
Board approved $6,500,000 transfer from Fund Balance in
November 2024
The district also sold a surplus property to DeKalb County for
$1,067,000 in Fall of 2024
• Proceeds to be used to operationalize the Parklake Building
• Initial furniture package estimated at $450,000 workstations for ≈ 275 staff
members, lobby furniture, training furniture, etc.

Estimated costs for furniture needs: not to exceed $450,000.
• This would cover the cost for basic workstations (approximately 275 staff members), meeting/training room
furniture, copy machines and other furniture's, fixtures, and equipment.
• Note: Some of the existing office furniture for these Divisions/Departments may not survive a move due to
age and condition. Additional costs for office furniture may be needed but will be addressed as need arises.
