Request: It is requested that the DeKalb County Board of Education approve two of three (#2 of 3) contract renewals for RFP 24-550 Floor Covering Installation Services in the amount not to exceed $3,500,000 to Brad Construction Company II, LLC and Kidd & Associates Flooring & Contracting LLC.
Why: This request is for a contract renewal for Brad Construction Company II, LLC and Kidd & Associates Flooring & Contracting LLC to provide Floor Covering Installation Services required throughout DeKalb County School District (“DCSD”) on an as-needed basis. This approval establishes a pool of qualified contractors that will provide Floor Covering Installation services for both the Facilities Maintenance Department and DCSD’s E-SPLOST Capital Improvement Program. Renewal of this contract ensures continuity of operations, timely response to flooring replacement needs, and maintenance of safe, clean, and operational learning environments across the District.
Details: On February 10, 2024, the Board of Education approved Brad Construction Company II, LLC, and Kidd & Associates Flooring & Contracting LLC as the most responsive and responsible offerors to provide district-wide Floor Covering Installation Services. This request renews the contract for an additional year to the above-captioned vendors from May 24, 2026-May 23, 2027.

Contract/Renewal Term:
The DeKalb County School Board of Education (“the Board”) approved the award for
an initial one (1) year term with four (3), one (1) year options to renew subject to
Board approval on an annual basis.
The renewals terms are as follows:
• Renewal #1 (1 of 3) Not to Exceed $3,500,000 - May 24, 2025- May 23,
2026
• Renewal #2 (2 of 3) not to exceed $3,500,000 – May 24, 2026- May 23, 2027
o This current agenda item seeks the Board of Education approval
for the second of three (2 of 3) one (1) year renewal options.
Summary
February 12, 2024, the DeKalb Board of Education approved the award of RFP 24-
550 to Brad Construction Company II, LLC, and Kidd & Associates Flooring &
Contracting LLC. as the most responsive and responsible offerors to provide Floor
Covering Installation Services on an as-needed basis for various flooring needs, for
an initial one (1) year term with three (3) one (1) year options to renew subject to
Board approval on an annual basis.
This request represents the second of three (2 of 3) renewals and establishes a
qualified pool of contractors that will provide Floor Covering Installation contracting
services, for both the Facilities Maintenance Department and the District’s E-SPLOST
Capital Improvement Program while maintaining the existing fee structure and
ensuring continuity of services to support safe, clean, and operational learning
environments across the District.
