Chronology-Instructional Technology Devices and Classroom Display
Systems Cross Keys High School (Virtucom)
The Division of Information and Instructional Technology (DIIT) identified the need for
instructional technology devices and classroom display systems to support classroom
instruction, staff productivity, and instructional technology readiness at Cross Keys High School.
These needs were validated through planning activities associated with instructional technology
standards, classroom technology requirements, and coordination with school leadership and
instructional technology staff.

Following the planning phase, DIIT worked with Virtucom to develop a scope of instructional
technology devices and related services aligned with district specifications and approved
cooperative purchasing agreements. The proposed procurement includes classroom interactive
displays, mounting and mobility solutions, staff computing devices, classroom monitors, docking
stations, charging solutions, and associated installation, configuration, delivery, and warranty
services.

Keys Services Include:

Instructional Areas (Classrooms & Shared Instructional Spaces) = $98,220

Virtucom will provide instructional display systems and accessories to support classroom
instruction and flexible learning environments, including:

   ●​ (32) ViewSonic 75" ViewBoard 4K interactive flat panel displays with five-year warranty,
      installation, configuration, training, and mounting hardware
   ●​ ViewSonic Advanced Manager Console licensing and wireless connectivity modules for
      interactive display management
   ●​ (32) ViewSonic 27" classroom monitors with delivery and installation services
   ●​ (4) mobile trolley stands to support deployment of interactive displays within mobile
      classroom spaces
   ●​ Associated cabling and accessories required for installation and classroom deployment

The deployment includes 28 standard classroom instructional environments and 4 mobile
classroom instructional spaces. Mobile classroom locations will utilize trolley-mounted
interactive display systems to support flexible instructional environments while maintaining the
same instructional technology capabilities as permanent classroom spaces.

These devices support digital instruction, classroom presentations, and collaborative learning
environments while maintaining consistent instructional technology standards across
instructional spaces.

Administration & Teacher Equipment = $64,599.36

Virtucom will also provide staff and shared-space computing equipment to support instructional
delivery and daily operations, including:
   ●​ (32) Dell Pro 16 staff laptops with imaging, asset tagging, etching, delivery, deployment,
      and three-year warranty with accidental damage protection
   ●​ (32) Kensington USB-C docking stations to support classroom workstation connectivity
      and peripheral integration

These devices support teacher productivity, instructional preparation, and effective workstation
connectivity within classrooms and shared instructional spaces.

Contingency =$24,422.90

A contingency amount of 15% above quoted costs is included to manage unforeseen conditions
associated with network installation in a new construction environment and to ensure timely
project completion.

Through coordination with district leadership and instructional technology staff, the scope was
defined to equip classrooms and staff work areas with interactive displays, computing devices,
and device management solutions aligned with district instructional technology standards.

Procurement

Pursuant to Board of Education Purchasing Policy DJE III.D.3.d, this agenda item includes
purchases of services and equipment through approved inter-governmental and educational
cooperative purchasing agreements. Therefore, Virtucom will utilize The Interlocal Purchasing
System (TIPS) cooperative purchasing contract 240101.
