RECOGNITION
ROCK CHAPEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GIRLS' TRACK TEAM
WHEREAS: The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically
and athletically. The Rock Chapel Elementary School girls' track team is committed
to working hard and representing DeKalb athletics; and
WHEREAS: The Rock Chapel Elementary School girls' track team won the 2025 Elementary
DeKalb County Girls' Track and Field Championship title; and
WHEREAS: Under the leadership of coaches Darian Tisdale and Wilkenda Longstreth, the Rock
Chapel track squad scored 65 points, outscoring all others for the Girls' Elementary
County Championship; and
WHEREAS: Rock Chapel captured three gold medals, two silver medals, one bronze medal,
and nine top 8 finishes overall on their way to securing the title; and
THEREFORE: We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
accomplishments of the Rock Chapel Elementary School girls' track team for having
achieved one of the highest levels attainable by an elementary track team. In official
recognition, we affix our signatures on this 12th day of January, 2026.
