Request: It is requested that the DeKalb County Board of Education (“the Board”) approve the revision of the agreement between the DeKalb County School District and DeKalb County Government, from $44,550 to $70,470 for SY25-26 After-School Snacks Program.
Why: DeKalb County Government has requested the revision to the agreement that was approved during the Board’s August 11, 2025 meeting. The program daily snack requirement has changed from approximately 275 snacks daily to approximately 435 snacks daily.

Scope: Revision to the After School Snacks Agreement – SY 2025-2026 - DeKalb
County Parks and Recreation. Specific details related to the scope of services
can be found in the After School Snacks Agreement – original and revised
attached documents.
Contract Term:
The Dekalb County Board of Education (“the Board”) approved the agreement at
the August 11, 2025. The term of this agreement is effective August 4, 2025
through May 28, 2026.
Background:
The After School Snacks Agreement represents a community partnership between
The DeKalb County Parks and Recreation and DCSD School Nutrition Services
(SNS) to provide snacks from eight schools to the designated nine centers. This
service benefits the students at the DeKalb County School District. SNS has been
providing after school snacks to DeKalb County Parks and Recreation since
SY2018-2019.
The original draft agreement anticipated revenue was $44,550.00 minus
expenditures of $37,125.00 (food, labor and supplies).
The revised draft agreement anticipated revenue is $70,470 minus expenditures
of $58,725 (food, labor and supplies).
The change in food service contract amount from $44,550 to $70,470 for
SY25-26 After School Snacks Program is due to the change in the number of
daily snacks required, from approximately 275 snacks to approximately 435
snacks. The nine locations have not changed.
The revision to the agreement, to be completed, shall begin upon Board approval.
