Request: It is requested that the Board of Education approve the minutes of the following meetings: the October 6, 2025, board meeting, which includes the executive session, work session, community input session and business meeting, the October 8, 2025, board b-policy review committee meeting, the October 9, 2025, emergency called meeting and executive session, the October 15, 2025, called meeting and executive session, the October 29, 2025, called meeting and executive session, the October 29, 2025 board b-policy review committee meeting, the October 30, 2025 Board of Education - Board of Commissioners joint meeting, and the November 3, 2025 called meeting and executive session.

JOINT MEETING
October 30, 2025
The DeKalb County Board of Education participated in a Board of Education – Board of
Commissioners joint meeting, Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce, Board of Education Chair called the meeting to order at 1:19 p.m.
In attendance were the following DeKalb County Board Members, Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce, Chair,
Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Vice Chair, Mr. Andrew B. Ziffer, Ms. Whitney McGinniss, Tiffany
Hogan, Ph. D., Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Sr., and Mr. Awet Eyasu. Acting Superintendent, Dr.
Norman C. Sauce III also attended the joint meeting.
In attendance were the following Board of Commissioners: Presiding Officer, Mrs. Michelle
Long Spears, Mr. Ted Terry and Dr. LaDena Bolton.
Ms. Carolyn Lloyd, Executive Director of Board Operations was also in attendance.
The agenda was followed as outlined.
