Request: It is requested that the Board of Education approve the award of RFP 25-20 School Nutrition Sanitation Training Services & Materials to Sanitech Systems Inc., in the not to exceed amount of $240,821 for SY 25-26.
Why: To ensure DeKalb County School District (DCSD) School Nutrition Services (SNS) maintain well- sanitized kitchens and equipment to serve healthy and safe meals to DeKalb County School District students. Sanitech Systems Inc. employs ServSafe Certified Service Technicians who deliver on-site training to School Nutrition Managers and Food Assistants on chemical usage and safety. This training provides SNS personnel with the skills to maintain clean and sanitized food service environments.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) 25-20 was competitively solicited through the DCSD Purchasing Department. On September 10, 2024, proposals were received from two (2) vendors. Both were reviewed and deemed responsive to the requirements of the solicitation by the Purchasing Department. This recommendation is based on those evaluations.

Products provided by Sanitech Systems Inc., are shipped or delivered by the vendor directly to the schools. Sanitech Systems, Inc. is located at 4033 Holden Road, Lakeland, FL 33811.

Scope: Contract Award for RFP 25-20 – Sanitech Systems, Inc., - School Nutrition
Sanitation Training Services and Materials Not to Exceed $223,770.00 for SY 24-25.

Contract Term: The contract will begin upon Dekalb County Board of Education (“the
Board”) approval at the November 11, 2024, meeting and a subsequent fully executed
contract. This is an initial term from November 15, 2024, through November 14, 2025, with
options for renewal/extension for up to four (4) years through November 14, 2029,


Solicitation Process: A Request for Proposal (RFP) was competitively solicited August 8, 2024,
for RFP 25-20 School Nutrition Sanitation Training Services & Materials through the
Purchasing Department. Electronic notification of the upcoming solicitation was posted to IonWave
on August 8, 2024. The RFP was advertised in the Champion Newspaper on August 8, 2024, and
August 15, 2024. Electronic notification was sent to 52 vendors from the DCSD Vendor Bid List,
666 vendors through the DCSD IonWave list and to 825 vendors through the State of GA
Procurement Registry. Two (2) vendors responded to the solicitation, and both were reviewed and
deemed responsive to the requirements of the solicitation by the Purchasing Department and
evaluated by a selection committee.

Award Process: Sanitech Systems, Inc. was selected as the lowest and most responsive
and responsible bidder meeting bid specifications. The recommendation for this contract
award to Sanitech Systems, Inc. is based on these evaluations.
