Southwest DeKalb HS Track and Field Athlete Amari Scott

             P R O C L A M AT I O N

               RECOGNITION
                   HONORING SOUTHWEST DEKALB HIGH SCHOOL
                     TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE AMARI SCOTT

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and
             athletically. The Southwest DeKalb High School track and field competitor Amari Scott is
             committed to working hard and representing DeKalb Schools athletics; and

WHEREAS:     Southwest DeKalb High School sophomore Amari Scott won the Class 4A boys’ gold medal in
             the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 37.02 seconds; and

WHEREAS:     He was coached by Southwest DeKalb boys’ track coach Bob Mullen; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
             accomplishments of Southwest DeKalb track athlete Amari Scott for having achieved one of the
             highest levels attainable by a high school track and field participant. In official recognition, we
             affix our signatures on this 9th day of June 2025.
