Chamblee HS Track and Field Athlete Amelia Deweese

             P R O C L A M AT I O N

               RECOGNITIONHONORING CHAMBLEE HIGH SCHOOL
                           TRACK ATHLETE AMELIA DEWEESE

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and
             athletically. Chamblee High School track and field athlete Amelia Deweese is committed to
             working hard and representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:     Chamblee senior Amelia Deweese captured the Class 5A pole vault gold medal with a height
             of 11-feet, six inches; and

WHEREAS:     She is coached by Chamblee girls’ track and field coaches Hakim Felts and Lakeyda Zackery;
             and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
             accomplishments of the Chamblee High School track and field athlete Amelia Deweese for
             having achieved one of the highest levels attainable by a high school track and field participant.
