School Lunch Hero 2025 Proclamation

             P R O C L A M AT I O N
                            School Lunch Hero Recognition Day

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District declares May 12, 2025, to be School Lunch Hero
             Recognition Day in honor of the work done every day by the School Nutrition staff for DCSD
             students; and

WHEREAS:     The Lunch Heroes work behind the scenes preparing delicious meals, adhering to strict
             nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile.

WHEREAS:     The School Nutrition staff are an essential part of the success of the student health and
             wellness; and

WHEREAS:     It is appropriate that School Nutrition staff are acknowledged and thanked for their contribution
             and commitment to the district.

THEREFORE:   Be it resolved that The DeKalb County Board of Education proclaims May 12, 2025 to be
             School Lunch Hero Recognition Day and

             Be it further resolved that DeKalb County Board of Education strongly encourages all members
             of our community to join in recognizing and expressing gratitude toward our school nutrition
             staff.
