Chamblee HS Girls Swim Team 2025 Recognition v1

               RECOGNITION
                   Honoring Chamblee High School Girls’ Swim Team

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and
             athletically. Chamblee High School Girls’ Swim Team is committed to working hard and
             representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:     Today, we want to celebrate the Chamblee Girls’ Swim Team for an outstanding 2025 season;
             and

WHEREAS:     Coached by Greg Valley and Lorri Reynolds, the Chamblee swim team repeated as the DeKalb
             County Swimming and Diving Championships winners; and

WHEREAS:     Chamblee captured four gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze in winning this years’
             title. It was the girls’ second back-to-back title wins having also won back-to-back titles in 2019
             and 2020; and

WHEREAS:     The county victory combined with their male counterpart’s county championship gave
             Chamblee a rare back-to-back sweep of the county titles; and


THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
             accomplishments of the Chamblee Girls’ Swim Team for having achieved one of the highest
             levels attainable by a high school swim program. In official recognition, we affix our signatures
             on this 12th day of May 2025.
