RECOGNITION
Honoring Redan High School Girls’ Flag Football Team
WHEREAS: The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and
athletically. The Redan High School Girls’ Flag Football team is committed to working hard and
representing DeKalb athletics; and
WHEREAS: Today, we want to celebrate the Redan Lady Raiders Flag Football Team for its outstanding
2024-25 season; and
WHEREAS: Coached by Willie Griffieth, the Lady Raiders finished 18-3-1 bringing home the Division 2 Area
6 title with a perfect 9-0 record in division play; and
WHEREAS: The Lady Raiders went on to win their first two state playoff games to advance to the Elite 8 in
Division 2; and
THEREFORE: We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
accomplishments of the Redan Lady Raiders Flag Football Team for having achieved one of
the highest levels attainable by a high school girls’ flag football team. In official recognition, we
affix our signatures on this 12th day of May 2025.
