Smoke Rise ES Boys Basketball 2025 Recognition v1

                 RECOGNITION
             Honoring Smoke Rise Elementary School Boys’ Basketball Team

WHEREAS:       The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and
               athletically. Smoke Rise Elementary Boys’ Basketball Team is committed to working hard and
               representing DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:       Today, we want to celebrate the Smoke Rise Boys’ Basketball Team and Coach Rashid Scales
               for winning the 2025 DeKalb County Elementary Boys’ Basketball title with a 34-32 over
               Midvale Elementary; and

THEREFORE:     We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic
               accomplishments of the Smoke Rise Elementary Boys’ Basketball Team for having achieved
               one of the highest levels attainable by an elementary school basketball program. In official
               recognition, we affix our signatures on this 12th day of May 2025.
