The DeKalb County Board of Education held its Virtual Called Meeting, January 22, 2025.

Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce, Chair, convened the meeting at 9:03 a.m. and noted the following were
also in attendance; Vice Chair Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Mr. Andrew B. Ziffer, Ms. Whitney
McGinniss, Tiffany Hogan, Ph.D., Mr. Awet Eyasu, Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Sr., and
Superintendent, Dr. Devon Q. Horton.

Also in attendance was Ms. Carolyn Lloyd Executive Administrator to the Board and General
Counsel, Ms. Melanie Slaton.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce asked the DeKalb County Board of Education if anyone had objections to
adopt the January 22, 2025, called meeting.

With no objections, the agenda was adopted.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

   1. Mr. Erick Hofstetter, Chief Operating Officer, Division requested that the Board of
      Education approve the award of RFP No. 25-752-004 Capital Improvement Program
      (“CIP”) Planning and Management Services to Hoar Program Management LLC.,
      for an amount not to exceed $5,630,326 for Capital Improvement Planning and Year
      1 of Capital Improvement Program Management services.

       This is the second time this item was brought before the board. Mrs. Pierce requested a
       motion to reconsider the item.

       With a motion to reconsider by Ms. Gevertz, second by Mr. Ziffer opposition by Tiffany
       Hogan, Ph.D., and Mr. DaCosta, Sr., and an abstention from Mr. Eyasu and with a vote of
       4/2/1, the motion passed.

ADJOURN
Mrs. Pierce asked if there were any objections to adjourn the January 22, 2025, virtual called
meeting.

With no objections, the January 22, 2025, called meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.

Due to technical difficulties, this meeting was not simulcast on DSTV. The meeting was
therefore rescheduled for Friday, January 24, 2025 @ 10:00 am.
