Request: It is requested that the DeKalb County School District Board of Education (“the Board”) approve the fourth of four (#4 of 4) contract renewals for ITB 20-752-037 for Plumbing Contractor Services in the amount not to exceed $5,000,000 to:
K.E.G. Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc.
MAXAIR Mechanical, LLC
Sid’s Sewer and Drain, Inc.
The Elite Plumber, LLC
Why: This request is contract renewal for Elite Plumber, LLC, K.E.G. Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc., MAXAIR Mechanical, LLC and Sid’s Sewer and Drain, Inc. to provide plumbing services on an as needed basis for various remodeling, renovations, life safety, and maintenance and repair projects locations throughout DeKalb County School District (“DCSD”) in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Approval of the contract renewal meets Strategic Goal Area 6: Organizational Excellence.
Details: On December 7, 2020, the Board of Education approved K.E.G. Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc., MAXAIR Mechanical, LLC, Sid’s Sewer and Drain, Inc., and The Elite Plumber, LLC as the most responsive and responsible offeror to provide district wide plumbing services.
This request renews the contract for an additional year to:

This recommendation is for the fourth of four (#4 of 4) one-year (1-year) contract renewal options.
Financial impact: The total contract amount for these services in the amount not to exceed $5,000,000 will be allocated from the General Fund Budget, Repair & Maintenance Service (100.2600.543000.00011.7520.9990.8013.040.0000).

Scope:
Approval of Renewal the award of ITB 20-752-037 - Plumbing Contractor
Services - ITB No. 20-752-037-K.E.G. Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc., MAXAIR
Mechanical, LLC, Sid’s Sewer and Drain, Inc., and the Elite Plumber, LLC. to
provide as-needed plumbing services as specified in the bid documents and Owner’s
Criteria and Narrative Scope of Work.
Contract/Renewal Term:
The DeKalb County School District Board of Education (“the Board”) approved the
award for an initial one (1) year term with four (4), one (1) year options to renew
subject to Board approval on an annual basis.
The renewals terms are as follows:
• Contract Year 5, Renewal #4 (4 of 4) Not to Exceed $5,000,000, as follows:
o K.E.G. Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc. – April 23, 2025- April 22, 2026
o MAXAIR Mechanical, LLC – March 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026
o Sid’s Sewer and Drain, Inc. - February 19, 2025 – February 18, 2026
o The Elite Plumber, LLC – February 19, 2025 – February 18, 2026
• This current agenda item seeks the Board of Education approval for
the fourth of four (#4 of 4) one (1) year award renewal options.

Award Process
December 7, 2020, the Board of Education approved the award of ITB 20-752-037
to Elite Plumber, LLC, K.E.G. Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc., MAXAIR
Mechanical, LLC and Sid’s Sewer and Drain, Inc. as the most responsive and
responsible bidders to provide plumbing services on an as-needed basis for various

services on an as needed basis, for an initial one-year with four (4) one-year options
to renew subject to Board approval on an annual basis.
Contract Year 2/Renewal #1
• At its business meeting on Monday, April 18, 2022, the DeKalb Board of
Education approved the first one-year renewal period from 2023.
Contract Year 3/Renewal #2
• At its business meeting on Monday, March 13, 2023, the Dekalb Board of
Education approved the second one-year renewal period.
Contract Year 4/Renewal #3
• At its business meeting on Monday, February 12, 2024, the Dekalb Board of
Education approved the third one-year renewal period.
Current and Final Contract Year 5 and Renewal #4
• This agenda item seeks the Board of Education approval for the fourth of four
(#4 of 4) one-year (1-year) contract renewal options for all above-captioned
vendors.
