                  BOARD B-POLICY REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING

                     DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                        May 23, 2024

The DeKalb County Board of Education held its Board B-Policy Review Committee Meeting
Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Committee Chair convened the meeting at 10:02 a.m. and noted the
following were in attendance; Ms. Whitney McGinniss. Mrs. Marissa Key, Ms. Carolyn Lloyd,
Mr. Aaron Webb, Ms. Noga Baruch, and Superintendent Dr. Devon Q. Horton. Ms. Allyson
Gevertz, Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Sr. and Ms. Melanie Slaton attended the meeting virtually.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Mrs. Vicki B. Turner, Committee Chair, presented the review follow-up /action items from the
previous board b-policy committee meeting.

The committee reviewed the recommendations and updates for Board Policy BAB: School
Governance.

Committee Chair, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner presented an introductory discussion of next policies
scheduled for review, BBA: Board Officers & BBBE Board Member Compensation and
Expenses.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS | COMMENTS
Mrs. Turner provided the date of the next Board B-Policy Review committee meeting that will
be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 @ 1:30 pm.

ADJOURN
Mrs. Turner adjourned the May 23, 2024, Board B-Policy Review Committee meeting.

There were no objections, the meeting adjourned at 11:10 a.m.
