Request: It is requested that the Board of Education approve the award recommendation for RFP 24-582R DeKalb Teacher Residency University Partner to Kennesaw State University not to exceed $770,500.
Details: RFP-24-582R- DeKalb Teacher Residency Program University Partnership for Early Childhood Education and Special Education will be awarded to Kennesaw State University.

Kennesaw State University submitted the most responsive and responsible bid at a cost not to exceed $770,500. This will be the second university partnership designed to provide certification pathways for elementary education and special education candidates for the IGNITE Teacher Residency Program.



This RFP will cover up to 50 residents for Cohort II, starting June 2024- June 2025. Participants will earn a Master of Arts in Teaching and agree to serve in a Horizon school for 5 years post completion of the program.
Financial impact: This is a budgeted expense not to exceed $770,500.

RE: Sourcing Efforts Letter – RFP 24-582R DeKalb Teacher Residency University Partner for Early
Childhood Education and Special Education

Greetings,

Because the procurement process is constantly evolving and improving, the Purchasing Department
has developed a new customer service feature. The Purchasing Department is now providing a
summary of sourcing efforts to the internal client for RFP 24-582R DeKalb Teacher Residency University Partner
for Early Childhood Education and Special Education.

The Purchasing Department’s efforts include:
   1) RFP 24-528R was posted to IonWave on March 21, 2024.
   2) RFP 24-582R was advertised in the Champion Newspaper on March 21, 2024 and March 28,
       2024.
   3) Electronic notification sent to 176 vendors from the DCSD Vendor Bid List.
   4) Electronic notification sent to 1610 vendors through the State of GA Procurement Registry.
   5) Electronic notification sent to 603 vendors through IonWave.

If you are aware of any additional sourcing engines, please let us know so we may include those in our
process.

Three (3) proposals were reviewed and one (1) was deemed responsive to the requirements of the
solicitation.
