Request: It is requested that the Board of Education approve the award recommendation for RFP 24-562 DeKalb Paraprofessional to Teacher Residency Program to BloomBoard, INC. This is for two years, not to exceed $788,050.
Details: RFP-24-562- DeKalb Paraprofessional to Teacher Residency Education Program will be awarded to BloomBoard, INC.
BloomBoard, INC submitted the most responsive and responsible bid at a cost not to exceed $788,050. This RFP will cover 50 residents over a 2-year period. Residents will start in January 2024- December 2025. This program will lead to a bachelor’s degree.
Financial impact: This is a budgeted expense not to exceed $788,050.

RE: Sourcing Efforts Letter – RFP 24-562 DeKalb Paraprofessional to Teacher Residency Program
On behalf of Mr. Byron Schueneman, CFO, because the procurement process is constantly evolving and
improving, the Procurement Department has developed a new customer service feature. The
Procurement Department is now providing a summary of sourcing efforts to the internal client for RFP 24-
562 DeKalb Paraprofessional to Teacher Residency Program.
The Purchasing Department’s efforts include the following:
1) RFP 24-562 was posted to the DCSD IonWave website on September 7, 2023.
2) RFP 24-562 was posted to the Georgia Procurement Registry on September 7, 2023.
3) RFP 24-562 was advertised in the Champion Newspaper on September 7, 2023, and September
14, 2023.
4) Electronic notification sent to 22 vendors from the DCSD Vendor Bid List.
5) Electronic notification sent to 1504 vendors from the Georgia Procurement Registry Vendor Bid
List.
6) Electronic notification sent to 406 vendors through IonWave.
If you are aware of any additional sourcing engines, please let us know so we may include those in our
process.
Two (2) proposals were reviewed and deemed responsive to the requirements of the solicitation.
