                        VIRTUAL AUDIT COMMITTEE MEETING

                       DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                         May 10, 2023

The DeKalb County Board of Education held its Virtual Audit Committee Meeting May 10,
2023.

Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce, Committee Chair convened the meeting at 1:01 p.m. and noted the
following were in attendance; Mrs. Anna Hill, Board Member – District 1, Community Advisors,
Mr. Russell Fincher, Mr. Dennis Allen, and Ms. Gena Major.

Also in attendance were Dr. Yolanda Williamson, Executive Administrator to the Board, Dr.
Vasanne S. Tinsley, Interim Superintendent, Ms. Whitney McGinniss, Board Member District 2,
Ms. Melanie Slaton, General Counsel, Mr. Byron Schueneman, Chief Financial Officer, Division
of Finance, Mr. Jim Dawson, Director of Financial Report, Division of Finance, Dr. Tekshia
Ward-Smith, Administrator, Division of Human Resources, Mr. Joel Thibodeaux, Director of
Audits and Compliance, Ms. Monika Davis, Chief Information Officer, Information Technology.

DISCUSSION ITEM(S)
Mr. Joel Thibodeaux presented the District Risk Assessment – Part 2.


ADJOURN
Mrs. Pierce requested that the DeKalb County Board of Education adjourn the August 9, 2023,
Audit Committee meeting.

Mrs. Pierce noted there were no objections, the called meeting adjourned at 2:40 p.m.
