Chairman's Report - Cognia Update

                             Board Leadership Report

As we address the challenges posed by Cognia, I am proud to see the progress we
have made. Though it hasn't been easy, we have remained dedicated to moving past
preconceived notions about our Board. Our unity and solidarity have been key, and
every month we work together to improve our District.
We recognize that our past carries a weight, but we remain committed to making
positive changes. We understand that by setting a positive example at our level,
we can inspire our teachers, staff, scholars, and community.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to each member of our Board.

District 1, Mrs. Anna Hill, your expertise as a Certified Public Accountant and
analytical skills have greatly strengthened our organization's governance, enabling
us to make informed decisions and ensure responsible financial management.

District 2, Mrs. Whitney McGinniss, your aspirations and dedication to being the
best board member have enhanced our governance practices, ensuring that our
organization operates at its best and provides the highest support and
opportunities.

District 4, Mrs. Allyson Gevertz, your ongoing energy, and willingness to contribute
have positively impacted our governance, driving our organization's progress and
success by creating a conducive environment for growth and development.

District 5, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, your way with words and motivation have uplifted
our spirits and positively influenced our governance, helping us navigate through
challenges and keep our focus on well-being.

District 7, Dr. Joyce Morley, your wisdom and knowledge in various subjects have
been invaluable to our governance, providing valuable insights and perspectives
that have guided our decision-making processes.

District 3, Vice Chair Deirdre Pierce, with your visionary leadership, you have
played a crucial role in shaping our organization's governance and driving our
initiatives forward, ensuring the best possible education and support.

Together, we are stronger. We are united and passionate about our work for the
DeKalb Board of Education. We are determined to overcome any obstacles that
come our way and continue making positive strides toward providing the best
education possible.

Thank you all for your commitment and dedication to our District. Let's continue
working with passion, unity, and purpose to achieve excellence in education.
