October 7, 2022 virtual called meeting and executive session

                 VIRTUAL CALLED MEETING and EXECUTIVE SESSION
                                   OF THE
                     DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                        October 7, 2022

The DeKalb County Board of Education held a virtual called meeting and virtual executive
session on Friday, October 7, 2022.

Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Board Chair, called the meeting to order at 9:04am and noted the
following were in attendance, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, Board Chair, Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Sr.,
Vice Chair, Mr. Marshall D. Orson, Mrs. Deirdre Pierce, Mrs. Allyson Gevertz and Dr. Vasanne
S. Tinsley, Interim Superintendent. Dr. Joyce Morley joined the meeting at 9:11am and Mrs.
Anna Hill joined the meeting at 10:45am/.

Also in attendance were General Counsel Attorneys, Mr. Clem Doyle and Ms. Joyette Holmes.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adopt the October 7, 2022 virtual called meeting agenda.

Being there were no objections, the virtual called meeting agenda was approved.

ADJOURN TO A COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adjourn the October 7, 2022 virtual called meeting to a
committee of the whole.

On a motion by Mrs. Pierce, seconded by Mr. DaCosta, and with a unanimous vote (5\0) of
Board Members present, a committee of the whole convened.

          Presented by: Dr. Vasanne S. Tinsley, Interim Superintendent

ADJOURN THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE AND RECONVENE THE CALLED
MEETING
Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adjourn the October 7, 2022 committee of the whole and
reconvene the virtual called meeting.

On a motion by Mrs. Pierce, seconded by Mrs. Gevertz, and with a unanimous vote (7\0), the
virtual called meeting reconvened.

ADJOURN TO AN EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adjourn October 7, 2022 virtual called meeting to an executive
session for the purpose of discussing permitted matters regarding personnel.

On a motion by Mr. DaCosta, seconded by Mrs. Hill and with a unanimous vote of (7\0), the
October 7, 2022 meeting adjourned to an executive session at 11:33am.

ADJOURN
Mrs. Turner called for a motion to adjourn the October 7, 2022 virtual executive session and
virtual called meeting. No Board Action was taken.

Being there were no objections, the October 7, 2022 virtual executive session and virtual called
meeting adjourned at 11:34am.
