Resource for Governance Teams
                        • State school boards associations exist as a professional
resource and to provide services to locally elected
                          boards of education

                        • Governance Team- a reference to the notion that
boards of education and superintendents are teams
meant to work together towards common goals

                        • State associations are staffed by a combination of
former school board members, superintendents and
                          professionals

                        • Staffing varies for state associations based on the
needed services that the membership have deemed
                          priority
