The DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced and professional Wrap-Around
and Support Services Director.
Salary Grade/Schedule: Unified 132
Salary Schedules: 2021-2022 Salary Schedules

Title: Wrap-Around and Support Services Director
Under limited supervision, supervises and assists in the development of community schools,
wrap-around services, and student support programs. This position works collaboratively with
school-based leaders and community partners to identify needs and provide services to schools.
This position also guides school district administrators, coordinates various prevention programs
and services to support students, parents, and the community by addressing the cognitive, social,
emotional, health, and safety of all students to maximize student achievement.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are representative of this position. The omission of specific statements of

assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Facilitates the development of community schools’ services such as healthcare, mentoring,
expanded learning programs, food pantries, and other services to support the whole child, engage
families, and strengthen the community.
• Monitors the related day-to-day operations, regulations, and requirements of student support
programs and services.
• Manages the coordination of intervention for students and the implementation of mental
health/wraparound support efforts for the district.
• Manages the implementation of expanded school programs and services based on identified
needs.
• Assists in the facilitation/implementation of Social Emotional Learning for the District.
• Develops needs assessments to assist schools with identifying programmatic needs.
• Provides technical assistance to administrators and teachers by participating in conferences,
professional learning opportunities, and parent meetings.
• Coordinates professional learning opportunities for Student Support personnel.
• Supervises and evaluates Student Support Programs staff.
• Prepares and monitors program budgets and daily operations of Student Support programs for
compliance with established federal, state, and school system regulations and procedures.
• Recommends new/revised guidelines to comply with federal and state guidelines and to
enhance instruction and student success.
• Builds and manages key partnerships to support school success and evaluates data to determine
school needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education Administration, Teacher
Leadership, or closely related field from a Professional Standards Commission approved
accredited college or university required.
• Minimum five (5) years of managerial/supervisory experience in school administration, student
support (counseling, social work, and school psychology), teacher leadership, or closely related
experience required.
• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational
leadership at level L5, NL-5, PL-6, or above required. If a level L-5, NL-5, PL-6, or above
certificate is not held, the individual must be eligible for the NPL certificate in educational
leadership or meet the eligibility requirement for a Support Personnel License from the Georgia
Professional Standards Commission.
