July 14, 2022 virtual audit committee meeting

                         VIRTUAL AUDIT COMMITTEE MEETING
                                      OF THE
                        DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
                                    July 14, 2022


The DeKalb County Board of Education held a virtual audit committee meeting on Thursday,
July 14, 2022.

Mr. Diijon Dacosta, Audit Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 11:33am, and noted
the following were in attendance, Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Committee Chair, Board Committee
Members, Mrs. Anna Hill and Mrs. Deirdre Pierce, Board Members, Mrs. Vickie B. Turner, and
Mrs. Allyson Gevertz and Interim Superintendent, Dr. Vasanne Tinsley.

Also in attendance were Dr. Yolanda Williamson, Executive Director of Board Operations, Mr.
Charles Burbridge, Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Joel Thibodeaux, Director of Audits and
Compliance and General Counsel Attorney, Mr. Clem Doyle.

Mr. DaCosta started the meeting with the acknowledgement of the removal of the following
agenda item from the July 11, 2022 board meeting agenda, the approval to Appoint the Audit
Committee Community Advisors. He noted the item was removed from the July 11, 2022
meeting agenda due to the withdrawal of (1) of the completed applications received.
He further stated the application process had been reopened and is located on the district’s
website and the (2) applicants, who previously completed the application process, will still be
considered in the process.

Mr. Joel Thibodeaux, Director of the Office of Audits & Compliance, provided a summary of the
application process & requirements for the Audit Committee Community Advisors. Mr. DaCosta
encouraged DeKalb stakeholders to apply.

There being no further business, Mr. DaCosta adjourned the virtual audit committee meeting at
12:45pm.
