MAKE-UP WORK BY STUDENTS
- Provision for Make-up Work by Students
When a student is absent because of a legal reason as defined by Georgia law or when the absence is apparently beyond the control of the student, the student shall be given an opportunity to earn grade(s) for those days absent. Make-up word must be completed within the designated time allotted.
- Lawful Absences
The following absences are defined as legal by Georgia law:

Illness.

Death in family.

Religious holiday.

Instances in which attendance could be hazardous as determined by the school system.

Service as page for the General Assembly.

Tests and physical exams for military service and the National Guard.
