The Student Support Team (SST) process functions within general education and utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to identify and plan instructional programs for students who struggle to progress academically or who exhibit behavioral difficulties that impede their progress. The DeKalb County Board of Education believes that SST is an effective method of addressing the instructional needs of students experiencing problems in school. The DeKalb County School District shall adhere to the rules of the Georgia Board of Education governing the SST process.
