Instructional Arrangements

Scheduling Policy

As part of the Consolidated School Improvement Plan (CSIP), every high school principal will submit an educational plan for the teaching and learning design model every two years to include input from local school council members, school administrators, certified and classified staff members, parents, students, and community members. The Consolidated School Improvement Plan (CSIP) shall include the following:

1. specific, measurable education objectives to be addressed by the schedule, including increasing overall school effectiveness

2. the proposed schedule, including evidence of advantages to students

3. any change in course offerings or requirements

4. plans for professional development and training for teachers

5. plans for evaluating the instructional strategies and methods used by teachers

6. statement of anticipated financial impact

7. plan for addressing student transfers, the AP testing calendar, and the maintenance of instructional continuity

8. timeline for implementation

9. other additional information deemed appropriate by the school/principal and/or the superintendent.

The school must submit the completed Consolidated School Improvement Plan (CSIP) to the Area Assistant Superintendent for approval and receive the Superintendent’s approval prior to implementation.
