The DeKalb County Board of Education recognizes that work-based learning programs of a planned educational nature may provide valuable educational experiences for students. The Board therefore supports educational early release programs that provide those opportunities for students enrolled in work-study programs. This program of instruction provides elective credits that apply toward the student's graduation requirements.
The Superintendent shall develop regulations for implementation of this program that comply with all State Board of Education rules and address parental consent, academic progress toward graduation, and program evaluation.
