- Health Insurance
The DeKalb County Board of Education may provide optional health insurance programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision, for the benefit of personnel and their spouses or dependents. The cost of the program may be paid by the Board of Education, the employee, or a combination of contributions by the Board and employee.
The employee’s designated share of the costs of the premium for coverage under the health insurance plan, determined by the Board of Education prior to the new fiscal year, shall be withheld in full and on a periodic basis from the employee’s wages or salary.
- Other Insurance
The DeKalb County Board of Education authorizes the Administration to make periodic deductions from the wages or salaries of employees, to pay the premium for life, accident and sickness, hospitalization, or annuity insurance, or any other kind of insurance, for the benefit of such employees who utilize the option to participate in the group insurance plan agreed upon and entered into by the Board of Education and insurance companies.
