In May of each year the DeKalb County Board of Education shall tentatively adopt a tax levy within legal limits for the maintenance and operation of the DeKalb County School District and a tax levy to pay the principal and interest of school district bonds. At the June business meeting the Board shall adopt the final tax levy for support of maintenance and operation and a tax levy to pay principal and interest for school district bonds as necessary.
