The DeKalb County School District is a political subdivision of the State of Georgia. It consists of all of DeKalb County except areas that are part of the City of Decatur or the City of Atlanta, which have their own independent school systems.
The DeKalb County School District is under the management and control of the DeKalb County Board of Education.
