      4-H Educator Impact Initiative Classroom Champion Agreement
This agreement outlines the requirements and responsibilities teachers must meet to receive the
stipend associated with serving as a 4-H Classroom Champion at their respective schools. By
signing this agreement, the teacher acknowledges and agrees to adhere to the responsibilities
specified below.

                  GUIDELINES FOR CLASSROOM CHAMPION ELIGIBILITY
Complete a successful background check through the University of Georgia (UGA) for Georgia
4-H to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Other requirements include:

GEORGIA 4-H VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

Submit the 4-H Volunteer Agreement form as part of the onboarding process. Successfully
complete the required 4-H Volunteer Training program.


DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING
       •   Maintain accurate attendance records for each club meeting.
       •   Submit completed sign-in sheets to the 4-H Extension office no later than the 5th of
           the following month.
       •   Collaborate with DeKalb County 4-H leaders to complete the chartering paperwork
           for the in-school 4-H club.
       •   Successfully complete the Georgia 4-H club chartering process.


CLUB MEETING EXPECTATIONS
       •   Hold a minimum of one (in-school) 4-H club meeting per month during the program
           year (September 2026 – March 2027).
       •   Ensure that at least ten students participate per month in each club meeting.
       •   Encourage and ensure student participation in Project Achievement and
           implement/promote a class community service project.

TRAININGS
Participants must attend all required training sessions:

   •   Orientation & Training: August of 2026 (Date to be announced during the district’s planning week)
                                       DeKalb County Extension Office
                             4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 200 – Decatur, GA 30032

   •   Georgia 4-H Online Risk Management: Must be completed by August 14, 2026.

   •   Mid-Year Virtual Check-In/Update: Attendance required; date to be announced (TBA)



                                    STIPEND DISBURSEMENT
The 4-H Classroom Champion stipend will be disbursed by the DeKalb County School District
according to the district’s selected pay schedule.

The DeKalb County Extension/4-H Office will provide the district with a monthly compliance
report confirming which Classroom Champions have submitted the required documentation and
monthly reports.

Stipend payments will only be issued after the DeKalb County Extension/4-H Office confirms
receipt of all required monthly reports. Classroom Champions are responsible for the timely
submission of reports in order to remain eligible for stipend disbursement.




                                     GEORGIA 4-H MISSION
The mission of Georgia 4-H is to support youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and
forming attitudes that empower them to become self-directed, productive, and contributing
members of society. This is achieved through hands-on learning experiences focusing on
agricultural and environmental issues, leadership, communication, nutrition, health, energy
conservation, and citizenship. 4-H encourages exploration, discovery, and challenges youth to
grow through active participation in programs such as District Project Achievement (DPA) and
service-learning projects.

                                    EXTENSION NETWORK
As a program of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
Cooperative Extension System, 4-H is part of a nationwide Extension network, combining federal,
state, and local expertise and resources.



NON-COMPLIANCE POLICY:
Failure to adhere to the above guidelines may result in:
       •   Notification to the school administration regarding non-compliance.
       •   Suspension or removal from the DeKalb County Extension/4-H Educator Impact
           Initiative stipend opportunity.




                        ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in
this agreement. I commit to fulfilling all responsibilities and upholding the mission of Georgia
4-H. I also understand that approval from my school’s administration is required for selection as a
4-H Classroom Champion.
