The DeKalb County Board of Education held a Called Meeting — 1st budget presentation and
1st millage rate hearing, June 1, 2026, in the J. David Williamson Board Room, Robert R.
Freeman Administrative Complex located at 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Stone
Mountain, Georgia 30083.
Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Chair, convened the called meeting at 5:03 p.m. and noted the following

were in attendance; Mr. Andrew Ziffer, Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce, Tiffany Hogan, Ph.D., Interim
Superintendent, Mr. Norman C. Sauce III.
Board Member, Ms. Whitney McGinniss attended virtually.
Mr. Byron Schueneman, Chief Financial Officer, Division of Finance, presented the 1st budget
presentation.

Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Board Chair, informed the public that all public comments about the
budget will be shared after the 1st millage rate hearing.
