Request: It is requested that the DeKalb County Board of Education (“the Board”) approve the use of the CINTAS Uniform Agreement through the Omnia Cooperative Agreement Contract No. 222886 for the rental of uniforms for Maintenance, Fleet, and AIC custodial staff for an additional one (1) year term effective August 15, 2026, through August 14, 2027, in the not to exceed amount of $750,000.
This is the third and final ( #3 of 3), one (1) year renewal option for Contract No. #222886.
Why: This request for contract renewal to Cintas Corporation for the rental of uniforms for Maintenance, Fleet and AIC custodial staff supports the goal of professionalism in appearance and aims to promote a positive image of custodial personnel.
Details: DeKalb County District Facilities and Maintenance Operations implemented staff uniforms in July 2013 with CINTAS Corporation using their uniform agreement established through U.S. Communities.
Contract No. 222886 is through the City of Tucson solicitation cooperative agreement with OMNIA Corporation; from this solicitation CINTAS Corporation No. 2 was an awardee. The Board approved the use of this cooperative agreement through the DCSD Supplemental Agreement with Cintas Corporation No. 2 to provide uniforms for Maintenance, Fleet, and AIC custodial staff dated August 15, 2023.
This is the third and final of three (#3 of 3), one (1) year renewal options.

Scope: Contract Renewal - OMNIA Cooperative Contract /CINTAS Corporation No.
2 -Rental of Uniforms, Floor Mats, Mops, Towels, and Related Services -Contract
No. 222886 - Third and final renewal (#3 of 3)
Contract/Renewal Term:
The DeKalb Board of Education (“the Board”) approved the award of the contract
between DCSD and CINTAS Corporation, for an initial one (1) year term with an
effective date of August 15, 2023, through August 14, 2024, for a Not to Exceed
amount of $400,000, with three (3), one (1) year renewal options subject to Board
approval on a year-to-year basis.
The renewal terms are as follows:
• Contract Year 2, Renewal 1 (#1 of 3) – August 15, 2024, through August 14,
2025, Not to Exceed $400,000.
o Approval for a Spend Limit Increase not to exceed $25,000 was
approved to bridge a funding gap with renewal #1.
• Contract Year 3, Renewal 2 (#2 of 3) - August 15, 2025, through August 14,
2026, Not to Exceed $400,000.
• Contract Year 4, Renewal 3 (#3 of 3) – August 15, 2026, through August 14,
2027, Not to Exceed $750,000.
o This current agenda item seeks the Board of Education approval
for the third and final of three (#3 of 3) one (1) year renewal
options.
Solicitation and Award Process:
CINTAS Corporation was awarded Contract No. 222886 through Omnia Cooperative
Agreement effective July 15, 2022, to provide uniform rental services, with the
option to renew through July 14, 2027. The Cooperative contract between CINTAS
and OMNIA is for an initial three (3) years with two (2) optional one (1) year
renewals.
The Dekalb County Board of Education approved the Supplemental Agreement
between CINTAS Corporation and Dekalb County School District on March 13, 2023.
Dekalb County School District entered into this Agreement on August 15, 2023.
The Supplemental Agreement provided for an initial one (1) year term with three
(3) optional one (1) year renewal terms.
This renewal for the 2026-2027 SY will be effective August 15, 2026, through August
14, 2027. It is the third and final of the three (3) one (1) year optional renewals.
Approval of this renewal agreement will allow Maintenance, Fleet and AIC custodial
staff to continue to maintain a professional appearance without any lapse in
service, utilizing the buying power of the Omnia Cooperative Agreement contract.
