Chamblee High School Girls Cross Country County Champions
WHEREAS: The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
The Chamblee High School girls’ cross-country team is committed to working hard representing
DeKalb athletics; and
WHEREAS: The Chamblee High School girls’ cross-country team won the 2025 DeKalb County Cross Country
Varsity Girls’ Championships title; and
WHEREAS: Under the direction of coaches Hakim Felts and Jennifer Tinnell, the Lady Bulldogs scored a meet low
score of 25 points to defending champion Dunwoody’s 48. This allowed them to capture the title; and
WHEREAS: Chamblee had five runners in the Top 10 finishers led by individual county champion Leanna Maender
with a time of 20:20.90; and
THEREFORE: We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
of the Chamblee High School girls’ cross-country team for having achieved one of the highest levels
attainable by a high school cross-country team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this
9th day of February 2026.
