                      Columbia High School Football Region Champions

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
             The Columbia High School football team is committed to working hard representing DeKalb athletics;
             and

WHEREAS:     The Columbia High School football team won the 2025 Region 6-2A football championship; and

WHEREAS:     Under the direction of coach Gregory Barnett and staff, the Eagles football team went undefeated in
             Region 6-2A action to win the title; and

WHEREAS:     This marks the second consecutive year the Columbia Eagles football team captured the region
             championship, which is the first time for the program to accomplish this feat; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
             of the Columbia High School football team for having achieved one of the highest levels attainable by
             a high school football team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this 9th day of February
             2026.
