Henderson MS Girls Volleyball County Champions

              Henderson Middle School Girls’ Volleyball County Champions

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
             The Henderson Middle School girls’ volleyball team is committed to working hard and representing
             DeKalb athletics; and

WHEREAS:     The Henderson Cougars girls’ volleyball team won the 2025 DeKalb County volleyball championship;
             and

WHEREAS:     Under the direction of coaches Christie Wilson and Kierra Dunbar, the Lady Cougars team rallied for a
             2-1 win over Beacon Hill in the tournament championship game to finish 25-0 on the season; and

WHEREAS:     Henderson moved on to capture the Battle of the Metro championship, with wins over M.D. Roberts
             School for the Arts (Clayton County), the defending champion, and D.T. Howard (APS);
THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
             of the Henderson Middle School girls’ volleyball team for having achieved one of the highest levels
             attainable by a middle school volleyball team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this
             9th day of February 2026.
