                    Stephenson High School Football Region Champions

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
             The Stephenson High School football team is committed to working hard representing DeKalb
             athletics; and

WHEREAS:     The Stephenson High School Jaguar football team won the 2025 Region 5-3A football championship;
             and

WHEREAS:     Under the direction of coach Marcus Jelks and staff, the football team went 5-1 in Region 5-3A action
             and 11-2 overall to win the title; and

WHEREAS:     This marks the third consecutive season that the Stephenson football team captured the region
             championship by tying the 2001-2003 squads for this accomplishment; and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
             of the Stephenson High School football team for having achieved one of the highest levels attainable
             by a high school football team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this 9th day of
             February 2026.
