                      Redan Middle School Football County Champions

WHEREAS:     The DeKalb County School District is dedicated to developing students academically and athletically.
             The Redan Middle School Raiders football team is committed to working hard representing DeKalb
             athletics; and

WHEREAS:     The Redan Raiders football team won the 2025 DeKalb County middle school football Trail to Title
             championship; and

WHEREAS:     Under the direction of coach Micah Tarver and staff, the Raiders defeated the Cedar Grove Saints 8-0
             to capture the program’s first county title, finishing 9-0; and

WHEREAS:     Redan advanced to play in the Battle of the Metro Tournament, defeating Fort Valley 28-6 (the only
             touchdown allowed this season). The team then swept the Born to Compete Tournament with wins
             of 18-0 over Mason Creek (Douglas Co.) and 24-0 over Stockbridge to complete a perfect 12-0 season;
             and

THEREFORE:   We, the DeKalb County Board of Education, acknowledge the outstanding athletic accomplishments
             of the Redan Middle School Raiders football team for having achieved one of the highest levels
             attainable by a middle school football team. In official recognition, we affix our signatures on this 9th
             day of February 2026.
