1. 04/27/2026 – PROPERTY APPRAISAL DEADLINE FOR COMPLETION OF ALL REAL
PROPERTY VALUATION Final values are ready to be presented to the BOA for approval.
Other Activities:
• Homestead base freeze values are set
• City of Atlanta adjusted base year values for COA exemption are set
• HB581 base freezes are set
2. 04/30/2026 – BOA APPROVAL OF 2026 REAL ESTATE VALUES
Upon approval, final values are ready to be presented to the TC office for preparation of preliminary
consolidation reports & calculation of estimated roll back rates.
3. 05/15/2026 – GENERATE 2026 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT NOTICES
Notice file will be generated for the vendor who will print and mail approximately 235,000 notices.
4. 05/29/2026 – 2026 REAL ESTATE ASSESSMENT NOTICES MAILED
2026 RE appeal period begins – online appeal is open, current year data & values on website
5. 06/04/2026 – BOA APPROVAL OF 2026 PERSONAL PROPERTY DIGEST
6. 06/08/2026 – PERSONAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT NOTICES MAILED

8. 07/08/2026 – BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APPROVES MILLAGE RATE

10. 07/17/2026 – PA & TC OFFICE MEET TO DISCUSS DIGEST SUBMISSION
11. 07/23/2026 – PERSONAL PROPERTY APPEAL DEADLINE
12. 07/27/2026 – SUBMISSION OF 2026 DIGEST TO DEPT OF REVENUE
13. 08/03-07/2026 – RETURNED MAIL DELIVERED TO TAX COMMISSIONER
