June 9, 2025 3rd millage rate hearing

             3rd BUDGET PRESENTATION & 3rd MILLAGE RATE HEARING
                                   OF THE
                     DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                         June 9, 2025

The DeKalb County Board of Education held its 3rd Millage Rate Hearing, Monday, June 9,
2025, in the J. David Williamson Board Room at the DeKalb County School District’s Robert R.
Freeman Administrative Instructional Complex, 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Stone
Mountain, Georgia.

Mrs. Deirdre P. Pierce, Board Vice Chair convened the budget presentation at 10:06 a.m. and
noted the following were in attendance; Vice Chair, Ms. Allyson Gevertz, Ms. Whitney
McGinniss, Tiffany Hogan, Ph.D., and Mr. Andrew Ziffer, and Superintendent, Dr. Devon Q.
Horton.

Mr. Awet Eyasu, and Mr. Diijon DaCosta, Sr. attended the called meeting – 3rd Millage rate
hearing virtually.

Also in attendance was Ms. Carolyn Lloyd, Executive Administrator.

Mr. Byron Schueneman, Chief Financial Officer, conducted 3rd millage rate hearing to allow the
Board of Education to receive comments from stakeholders regarding the development of the
2026 budget.

There were no comments heard from anyone regarding the millage rate.


There being no other speakers for the June 9, 2025, 3rd Millage Rate Hearing, concluded at 10:16
a.m.
